Ed Kezar's career in the title industry commenced 28 years ago, and he brings his experience to Chicago Title and FNTG Builder Services, serving as a Senior Vice President and Manager of Operations. Ed manages the daily functions for San Diego and Riverside National Commercial Services. He enjoys being with Chicago Title because of the company's support for the entrepreneurial spirit, and his competitive nature drives him to constantly find new ways to win over clients, recruits, and employees. Ed's career in the title industry began with the task of pulling boxes of microfilm for print development. Prior to his arrival, his position was non-existent; he managed to create new ground-level position and launched his career from there. Since then, Ed worked his way into a successful residential unit, a prosperous commercial unit, and then into management where he currently operates. A strategic commitment to excel in his career has led Ed to an array of recognitions and awards including Manager of the Year. He also recently received accolades for the largest margin swing year over year. As an operations manager, Ed performs a variety of duties including implementation of systems, problem solving, underwriting, and strategic initiatives that help produce top line revenue growth with bottom line retention. Another key element of Ed's position is training and recruiting top-quality staff members. His goal is to make the various operations he oversees the best in market share and revenue, but also a place where every tool available is used to make each employee's job easier. He seeks to help get the most from each person and in turn, get the most out of himself, as he believes a company is only as strong as its employees.
Ed grew up in the San Fernando Valley and had the opportunity to transfer to San Diego in 1993 since, 'It was an amazing opportunity to work where others only get to vacation.' He has been married for 24 years, and together they have three boys and a Maltese named Bailey. In his spare time, Ed tries to travel as much as possible, and loves to work on his house.
